Since 1930, University Book Store has been returning the annual net earnings not required for operating and developing the Store to full-time University of Washington students, faculty and staff and members of the UW Alumni Association and UW Retirement Association through the UW Customer Rebate program. Your University Book Store Board of Directors has declared the UW Customer Rebate rate for 2008-09 at 10%, to be issued in the form of a merchandise credit in September 2009.
Purchases made using your University Book Store Credit Card receive a rebate at 10%.

Textbook buyback is open every day at our main store in the U-District. We pay up to 55% of the new price for your textbooks—choose between cash or an additional 10% with in-store credit. For the best in prices come in during these times:
- Autumn: Dec 14 - 18
- Winter: March 15 - 19
- Spring: June 7 - 11
- Summer: August 19 - 23
